You Are Not Your Thoughts
One of the biggest causes of our disconnection from our true selves and from living a free, authentic life, is the attachment and identification with our thoughts.
Our thoughts are a product of our conditioning that arise as a result of family background, early relational dynamics, traumas and cultural influences.
Thoughts are a natural part of being human and are not to be dismissed, denied or pushed away in any way. The task is to learn to build a different relationship with them by becoming a witness, without getting caught in believing them to be true, or to be who we are. With mindfulness we are able to begin to come out of the autopilot and reconnect with who we really are.
