Somatic Work
Healing and Awakening Through the Body
What is Somatic Work?
The word somatic comes from the Greek soma, meaning “the living body in its wholeness.”
Somatic work recognises the body as an intelligent, living system — inseparable from our emotions, thoughts, relationships, and sense of meaning. The body holds memory, wisdom, and a natural capacity for regulation, integration, and awakening.
This approach invites us to listen deeply to lived experience through mindful presence and inquiry. Rather than trying to fix or bypass what arises, we meet sensations, emotions, and patterns as they unfold in the present moment.
Healing unfolds naturally as we reconnect with the body’s organic intelligence and learn to stay with experience in a grounded, resourced way. Trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and long-held beliefs are met not as problems to eliminate, but as gateways to deeper awareness and integration.
Somatic work is a process of coming home — again and again — to the living reality of the body, and to the truth and authenticity that arise from within.

A simple, powerful tool for nervous system regulation
A gentle yet powerful practice that helps release chronic stress and trauma held in the body. By activating the body’s natural tremoring mechanism, TRE supports nervous system regulation, resilience, and a return to grounded ease.
